Ok, some do go my way!

Perhaps my problem is I'm calling too much, calling with too many hands and calling too much in general.

The calling too much preflop isnt a problem - pocket 9's is a playable hand. Its how you play it after the flop comes down that determines whether your session may well be a winning one or a losing one.

When you flop a set or even better quads then its full steam ahead but when you miss it is learning to read your opponents to know when to fold because you are beat or when to call when your opponent is bluffing!

I struggle laying down hands a bit. I think I'm better for having a couple of days off over Christmas. I get attached with hands like KK and when an ace appears, I can't let go.

I'll learn, it's not like poker runs out next week and if I haven't got it it's too bad!
